Objectives:
Learn a Swedish-inspired method for sorting belongings by category (not chaos!)
Understand how to balance sentimentality with practicality
Develop simple decision-making tools for what to keep, donate, gift, or release
Activities:
“Keep, Give, Release” exercise with sample items or printed images
Group conversation: What makes it hardest to let go?
Homework: Choose one small area to practice Swedish Death Cleaning this week (a drawer, bookshelf, or one closet shelf).
Class 2: Treasures, Memories, and Legacy
Theme: Honoring what matters most
Objectives:
Learn ways to preserve meaningful memories and family treasures
Discuss organizing photos, letters, and heirlooms with care
Explore creative ways to record stories, share memories, or label items for loved ones
Activities:
Journaling prompt: If someone found this object after I’m gone, what story would I want it to tell?
Introduce “Legacy Notes” — short, handwritten tags or stories for special items
Homework: Choose 3–5 sentimental items and write a note or story for each.
Class 3: Creating Space for What’s Next

Activities:
